I’ll be mainly talking about Google here because they have a 91.94% market share in the English-speaking world.

If your content is optimized for the keywords in the page title and page description, you can increase your chances of getting higher search rankings.

Your website will appear in a search results page. The title tag and description will appear in the first line of that result.

May means that this month is the best time to purchase these items, but it’s up to you when you buy them.

You can actually tell Google what you want to know by using keywords and phrases.

There is always a reason why a page will rank well for a specific keyword.

If you’re using HTML and CSS, you’ll need to make sure you have enough space for the text. A block element such as a paragraph or div with a width of 600 pixels will display the same number of characters as it can fit.

If you want your pages to rank well in search engines, then you should include them.

Google sometimes ignores your page titles and page descriptions

How to edit the page title and description

If I open up the source code of my web page (right click and view source or Ctrl + U), I can see the meta information:

The title comes directly from your post / page title.

This snippet is the description of your page. You can edit it by clicking on the “Edit snippet” button. Once you’ve done this, you aren’t finished. I recommend telling Google to index/reindex your page right away.

Google hasn’t indexed the changes to your page title and description

You probably have a few pages that haven’t been crawled by Google. You need to have these pages crawled, so they can be indexed by Google.

It’s important to know how to do this, but it usually takes a few weeks before Google will start to recrawl your site.

You can use the Search Console to see what keywords people are using when they find your site. You can also see how many people are searching for terms related to your website, and how often they’re finding your site.

If your website doesn’t appear in Google, Bing or Yahoo, you can request indexing or re-indexing from your webmaster by clicking on the button REQUEST INDEXING

If you’ve made lots of changes to your site, here’s how to update your sitemap and have Google re-crawl your page.

You need to click on sitemaps on the left.

Google schedules your entire site for re-indexing, and there’s no telling when this will happen. I often notice changes appearing in their search results within a few minutes.

Google cache is outdated

Google will only crawl your site once every few days, so if you’ve just updated your page titles, it could take up to a week for Google to index the new titles.

You can use the Google webmaster tool to check the status of your website. It will tell you whether Google is crawling your pages and indexing them. You can also use the tool to report any problems with your site, and it can also be used to submit your sitemap to Google.
